When I created this website, I discovered something that you might already know: Launching a website is, in some ways, similar to the work of becoming a great leader. For one thing, the work is never done. One minute you are a highly capable leader, the next it is clear you are developing, and at other times facing previously unseen challenges, you feel like a beginner again. Create a website that looks great one minute, and seemingly in a few short months it has fallen out of date. The Performance Leader remains focused on developing the new capabilities for today and tomorrow's challenges. The same can be said for a website. You produce the copy, partner with designers and programmers and get it up for all to see. And then stay willing and able to continuously improve.

Accelerating the development of senior leaders and their teams has been a passion for Jeff throughout his career. Jeff has established a track record of success helping leaders at all levels bring more value to their organizations and to themselves. Established in 2001, Performance Leaders, LLC clients have included Pfizer, sanofi-aventis, ISO Healthcare Consulting, Enzon Pharmaceuticals, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Evotec Pharmaceutical, both Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals and Tibotec Therapeutics, divisions of Johnson & Johnson, Kleinbard, Bell & Brecker, Richemont Group, SAP America, Siemens and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

Performance Leaders' value-added is achieved with tightly focused coaching and team development that accelerates organizational performance and builds critical organizational capability, applied to key business challenges. Jeff's coaching work is often with experienced leaders looking to expand their capabilities and demonstrate increased readiness for a current or more challenging assignment, and with leaders transitioning to new, and significantly more challenging positions. His team effectiveness work has recently been focused on helping senior management groups operate as a team when they needed to be team, focused on understanding and delivering their unique value to the business. He works with all levels and types of teams, including co-promotion and alliance teams. Jeff also does interesting work designing and facilitating complex global meetings that deliver on strategic goals. In all of his assignments, Jeff has worked extensively helping leaders to set and achieve stretch goals in demanding business environments.

Jeff has thirty years of progressively challenging work experience in the pharmaceutical, financial service and airline industries, both as a line manager and as a Human Resource Development leader. As a Team Leader in the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) team ('98-'01) of Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals (PGP) Jeff led a team focused on the development of key leaders and their teams across Pfizer's global pharmaceutical business. Jeff's areas of focus included leadership development, leadership coaching, succession and talent planning, merger integration and team development. Jeff's clients at Pfizer have included all the members of the PGP Leadership Team as well as the senior management teams leading Pfizer's pharmaceutical businesses in US, Canada, Europe, Asia and Japan.

Before Pfizer, Jeff held OE leadership positions ('92-'98) with Rhône-Poulenc Rorer (RPR) where he worked closely with senior management on accelerating learning and building the global organizational and individual competencies RPR needed to achieve its strategic goals. Previous to RPR, Jeff focused on the development of first and second level managers at Chase Manhattan Bank. Before two years as a partner in an advertising specialty business, Jeff began his managerial career with People Express Airlines, where he held line management positions ranging from customer service to training to international operations, culminating in his last assignment as West Coast Regional Director, running a $30 million operation.

Jeff holds a Masters degree in Organization Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Drew University. He also holds certificates in advanced team building, instructional design, and a variety of leadership feedback instruments including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. He is married with two teenage daughters.
